Marc Ivaldi

Professor of Economics, Toulouse School of Economics and Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales

Marc Ivaldi is Professor of Economics at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) and at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), and Research Fellow at the Institut D’Economie Industrielle (IDEI). He has served as Scientific Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities at the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and as Coordinator of the Cooperation Action on the Cooperation in European Research in Economics (COEURE).

He is specialised in applied industrial organisation, and he has mainly studied network and transport service industries (rail, air, energy, telecommunications, banking, information technologies). He is one of the European experts on empirical methods for competition and regulation policy. He has published many articles in prominent academic journals. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
