Martin Gaynor

Professor of Economics and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University

Martin Gaynor is E.J. Barone University Professor of Economics and Public Policy at the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. He served as the Director of the Bureau of Economics at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission in 2013-2014. He's been a visitor at the Toulouse School of Economics, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Northwestern University, Imperial College London, and University of Bristol. His research focuses on incentives, markets and competition, and antitrust, with a particular emphasis on health care.
