Michael Kuhn is Co-Leader of the Research Group on Population Economics at Wittgenstein Centre (IIASA, OeAW, University of Vienna) and Vienna Institute of Demography. His research interests lie at the intersection of health economics and population economics, spanning themes such as the organization of health care, life-cycle behavior with endogenous health, and the impact of health and health care on economic growth and development. He obtained a doctorate in economics from the University of Rostock, Germany, in 2001, and previously held positions at the Centre of Health Economics, University of York, United Kingdom, and at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research at the University of Rostock, Germany.
