Mika Saito

Deputy Division Chief, African Department, IMF

Mika Saito is a Deputy Division Chief in the African Department of the IMF. Her research interests are in international economics and monetary economics. Her work has been on the macroeconomic implications of global value chains, trade finance, and protectionism; and more recently on that of central bank financing. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University and M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics. Prior to the IMF, she was Assistant Professor in the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
