Morgan Kelly is Professor of Economics, University College Dublin. His recent research in macroeconomics has focused on the Irish credit bubble; while in economic history his work, with Cormac Ó Gráda, has looked at Malthusian effects in pre-industrial England, plague in London, and the origins of the Industrial Revolution.
