Mar Reguant

Assistant Professor, Northwestern University, CEPR Research Affiliate

Mar Reguant is an assistant professor at Northwestern University. She is concurrently a research affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and a faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Prior to her current position, she was an assistant professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (2011-2015). She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011.

Her research interests focus on the economics of energy, with an emphasis on electricity and the pollution associated with electricity generation. She has published numerous papers in academic journals including the American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, and Journal of Politicial Economy. She has presented in various seminars and is a recipient of the 2016 Sloan Research Fellowship, among other honors. She also serves as the associate editor of both the Journal of Industrial Economics and Journal of the Spanish Economic Association.
