Natalia Tamirisa

Assistant to the Director of the Research Department at the International Monetary Fund

Natalia Tamirisa is Assistant to the Director of the Research Department at the International Monetary Fund, where she covers issues related to the assessment of systemic risks to the global financial system and economy. During her career at the IMF, she has worked on a broad range of topics in international economic policy and a diverse set of advanced and emerging economies. Her research interests include the economics of international capital flows and financial crises and economic forecasting. She holds a Ph.D. in international economics from the University of Hawaii and M.S. in aerospace economics and management from the Moscow Aviation Institute.
