Nicholas Muller

Visiting Associate Professor of Economics, Carnegie Mellon University

Nick Muller is currently Visiting Associate Professor of Economics at Carnegie Mellon University. He joined the Economics Department and the Environmental Studies Program at Middlebury College as an Assistant Professor in the fall of 2007. He joined the National Bureau of Economic Research as a Faculty Research Fellow in 2012 and was promoted to Research Associate in the fall of 2013. Dr. Muller teaches microeconomics as well as environmental and natural resource economics. Broadly, his research focuses on measuring air pollution damage, environmental accounting, and market-based policy design. Dr. Muller currently serves on the USEPA’s Scientific Advisory Board Panel on Economy-Wide Modeling.

He has published papers in the American Economic Review (3), Science (2), Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Environmental and Resource Economics, Resource and Energy Economics, The Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, The Energy Journal, Environment and Development Economics, Nature Climate Change, Environmental Science & Technology, The Berkeley Electronic Press' Journal of Economic Analysis and Policy (2), Water Resources Research, Environment International, and Environmetrics.
