Ousmène Jacques Mandeng is a Senior Advisor, Global Blockchain Technology, with Accenture where he focuses on digital currencies. He is a visiting fellow at the LSE Institute of Global Affairs and writes a blog on international monetary affairs at www.ousmenemandeng.com. He worked more than 20 years in the financial sector and international organisations on international investment and economic and economic policy analyses. He was a managing director with Prudential Financial and UBS heading official financial institutions coverage globally and a deputy division chief with the International Monetary Fund working on IMF financial resources and Latin America including as resident representative.

Ousmène has commented in the financial press and presented in international forums on the increasing importance of emerging markets and actual and pending reforms of the international monetary system and currently conducts research on monetary innovation. He is a member of the Bretton Woods Committee and Robert Triffin International and a fellow of Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee. He holds a PhD from the LSE.
