Omar Licandro

Professor of Macroeconomics, University of Nottingham

Omar Licandro is a Professor in the School of Economics, University of Nottingham, as Professor of Macroeconomics since October 2015. Previously he has held professorial appointments at the Instituto de Análisis Económico (CSIC) in Barcelona, the European University Institute in Florence, Universidad Carlos III Madrid and FEDEA Madrid. Since 2013, he has been Secretary General of the International Economic Association (IEA) and the Executive Secretary of the Research Institute for Development, Growth and Economics (RIDGE). He is an Associate Professor of the Barcelona GSE, and Fellow of CESIfo. He has been Associate Editor of Annales d’Economie et de Statistique, Investigaciones Economicas and the Spanish Economic Review.
