Patrizio Piraino

Research economist at Statistics Canada

Patrizio Piraino is a Research Economist at Statistics Canada. He has recently completed his Ph.D. in economics at the University of Siena, Italy. For the last three years, he has been at the Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Visiting Researcher. His main fields of interest are intergenerational economic mobility, economics of education and child development. Current projects include work on family employment networks and earnings, inheritance, and the impact of schooling on noncognitive skills.
