Philippe Bacchetta

Swiss Finance Institute Professor of Macroeconomics, University of Lausanne; and CEPR Research Fellow

Philippe Bacchetta is Swiss Finance Institute Professor of Macroeconomics at the University of Lausanne and CEPR Program Director for International Macroeconomics and Finance. From 1998 to 2007, he was Director of the Study Center Gerzensee, a foundation of the Swiss National Bank. He has also been an Assistant Professor at Brandeis University, USA, and at ESADE and the Instituto de Análisis Económico, both in Barcelona. He is regular visitor or consultant to various central banks and to the IMF. His research interests include open economy macroeconomics, international finance, and monetary economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from Harvard University.
