Povilas Lastauskas

Povilas Lastauskas is director at the Center for Excellence in Finance and Economic Research (CEFER) at the Bank of Lithuania and senior research fellow at Vilnius University. His main research interests lie in the intersection of international economics, economic policy and its evaluation, and economics of globalization. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Cambridge, Trinity College.

Povilas Lastauskas initiated a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Economics at Vilnius University, taught entirely in English, which combines data science, economics, and finance, and heavily relies on open-source teaching materials. He leads a few major research grants, and his work is published in multiple academic journals, including European Economic Review, Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, and Advances in Econometrics.
