Rainer Thiele

Rainer Thiele is a Senior Researcher in the research area ‘Poverty Reduction, Equity, and Development’ at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. He has published a number of articles in refereed journals such as the World Bank Economic Review, the Review of Income and Wealth and Public Choice. Thiele is founding member of the development economics research network PEGNet and Managing Editor of the electronic journal e-conomics. His current research focuses on the effectiveness and allocation of foreign aid as well as on the interactions between growth, inequality and poverty in developing countries.
