Ric Colacito

Associate Professor of Finance and Economics, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill

Ric Colacito is Associate Professor of Finance and Economics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Prior to joining UNC, he studied economics at New York University, where he received his PhD degree in 2006. He grew up in Italy, where he received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Economics at Bocconi University, Milan. His research interests are in the areas of International Finance, Financial Econometrics, Model Uncertainty, Experimental Economics, and Climate Change. He has published in some of the world’s most prestigious journals in Economics and Finance, including the Journal of Political Economy, the American Economic Review, and the Journal of Finance. While at UNC, he has received several teaching awards, such as the “Weatherspoon Award for Excellence in Ph.D. Teaching”, and the recognition as “MBA teaching All Star”.
