Rosa Ferrer

Rosa Ferrer is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Business at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, holding a PhD in Economics from Vanderbilt University. She is also an Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. Her work has been accepted for publication at the Journal of Political Economy, the Review of Economic Studies, and the European Economic Review. 

Rosa's primary research fields are industrial organisation and, law and economics. Her work uses both empirical and applied theory to analyze social challenges. Prominent work by her studies topics such as frictions in consumer demand responses after product-harm crises; the role of lawyers' career concerns in explaining high-litigation expenses; and gender gaps in on-the-work performance among high-skilled workers. Her current research mainly focuses on consumer regulation and on using empirical tools from industrial organization to study the determinants of gender gaps.
