Ross Levine

Willis H. Booth Chair in Banking and Finance, Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley

Ross Levine is the Willis H. Booth Chair in Banking and Finance at the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Milken Institute, Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a member of both the Council on Foreign Relations and the Advisory Scientific Committee of the European Systemic Risk Board, an Associate Editor for both the Journal of Financial Intermediation and the Journal of Economic Growth, and a frequent consultant at the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

Ross Levine received his doctorate from UCLA and worked at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the World Bank. He then taught at the University of Virginia, the University of Minnesota, and Brown University.  His research focuses on the linkages between financial regulations, the operation of financial systems, and the functioning of the economy.
