Simon Siegenthaler

Assistant Professor, School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas

Simon Siegenthaler is an Assistant Professor at the School of Management of the University of Texas at Dallas. He earned his PhD from the University of Bern in 2014 and worked at the University of New York, Abu Dhabi before joining UT Dallas in 2017. His research interests are in microeconomics and experimental economics, specifically he studies market and bargaining institutions in the presence of asymmetric information. Another area Siegenthaler is interested in is the question of how social institutions and norms affect economic decision-making. Siegenthaler's research has been published in leading academic journals such as Games and Economic Behavior, International Economic Review, American Economic Journal: Microeconomics and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science. He has taught courses on auction theory and business economics, among others.
