Steven Nafziger

Steven Nafziger is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Williams College (USA). His research draws on archival and statistical sources to analyze the impact of institutional and political factors on pre-Soviet Russian economic development. Current research projects investigate the long-run effects of Russian serfdom, the roles of local government in absolutist states, and the evolution of inequality prior to the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917.
