Suchanan Tambunlertchai

Suchanan Tambunlertchai is an Economist in the Strategy, Policy, and Review Department at the International Monetary Fund, where she works on sovereign debt issues in advanced, emerging market, and low-income economies. She covers debt policy issues in Greece, Portugal, Hungary, and Zimbabwe, and has worked on various country teams including Turkey, Albania, and Montenegro. She has also given IMF workshops on debt sustainability assessments, both for market-access and low-income countries. Prior to joining the IMF, Suchanan worked as a Business Analyst at First Manhattan Consulting Group in New York and a Volunteer Consultant at the non-profit TechnoServe in Swaziland. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago and an A.B. in economics from Harvard University.
