Sven Langedijk

Economist at the Joint Research Center, European Commission

Sven Langedijk is an Economist at the European Commission's Joint Research Center in Ispra (Italy). Prior to taking up a research position in January 2013, he headed the European Commission team responsible for developing, negotiating and monitoring the EU-IMF financial support and economic adjustment programme for Ireland. Until 2010, he contributed to the development of the EU fiscal governance framework and the Stability and Growth Pact and was editor of the Commission's annual flagship report on Public Finances in EMU. His research interests and publications cover competitiveness and financial stability in EMU, financial markets, taxation and macro-financial linkages.
