Tomasz Wieladek

Senior International Economist, Barclays

Tomasz Wieladek is currently Senior International Economist at Barclays. Prior to his current appointment, he spent seven years at the Bank of England, where he worked on global capital flows, advised the external members of the UK’s monetary policy committee and was also responsible for managing research on the interaction of monetary and macroprudential policy in the Bank’s new Research Hub. He is a CEPR Research affiliate, holds a PhD in International Economics from the Graduate Institute, Geneva and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, UK.

His research interests include international finance, monetary economics and applied econometrics. His research has been published in outlets such as The Journal of The European Economic Association, The Journal of Finance, The Journal of Financial Economics, The Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and The Journal of Monetary Economics.
