Tomasz Wieladek

International Economist

Tomasz Wieladek is an International Economist at T. Rowe Price. Prior to his current appointment, he was a Senior International Economist at Barclays Bank, responsible for Germany, Hungary and Poland. He began his career at the Bank of England, where he worked on global capital flows, advised the external members of the UK’s monetary policy committee and was also responsible for managing research on the interaction of monetary and macroprudential policy in the Bank’s new Research Hub. He is a CEPR Research affiliate, holds a PhD in International Economics from the Graduate Institute, Geneva and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, UK.

His research interests include international finance, monetary economics and applied econometrics. His research has been published in outlets such as The Journal of The European Economic Association, The Economic Journal, The Journal of Finance, The Journal of Financial Economics, The Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and The Journal of Monetary Economics.
