Tommaso Sonno

Ph.D. Candidate in Economics, Université Catholique de Louvain and London School of Economics

Tommaso Sonno is Ph.D. Candidate within the European Doctoral Program in Quantitative Economics, jointly organized by the Université Catholique de Louvain and the London School of Economics.  In 2016 he was awarded the F.R.S.-FNRS Research Fellowship by the Belgian government. His research focuses on international trade and political economy. He has studied the relation between trade and conflicts, and global value networks. He is currently analyzing the impact of multinational enterprises on violence in developing countries, the dynamics of populism, and the role of financial frictions on reallocation processes.
