Torfinn Harding

Research Fellow, Oxford Centre for the Analysis of Resource Rich Economies, University of Oxford

Torfinn Harding is a Research Fellow at the Oxford Centre for the Analysis of Resource Rich Economies at the Department of Economics, University of Oxford. He is affiliated with Statistics Norway, New College and CESifo and previously worked in the Research Department of the World Bank. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

His research covers issues related to FDI promotion, effects of FDI inflows, effects of tariff and infrastructure reforms, and effects of natural resources on international trade, structural change and fiscal policy. His work is published in journals such as the Review of Economics and Statistics and Economic Journal. Recently he led a project providing support on macroeconomic analysis and policy to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in South Sudan on behalf of Statistics Norway and the Norwegian Government.
