Temel Taskin

Economist, Development Prospects Group, World Bank

Temel Taskin is an economist in the World Bank's Development Economics (DEC) Vice Presidency. He has contributed to several policy-related work at the World Bank on various topics including monetary policy, productivity, resource misallocation, and job creation dynamics. Prior to joining the World Bank, he served as a post-doctoral research fellow at the European University Institute, worked as an economist at the Central Bank of Turkey, and as an economic counselor at the OECD. His research interest covers various topics in macro/labor economics. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Rochester, and received his undergraduate degree from Bilkent University. He published in academic journals including the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, European Economic Review, and B.E. Journal of Macroeconomics.
