Wendy C.Y. Li

Research Economist, US Bureau of Economic Analysis

Wendy C.Y. Li is a research economist at the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. Her current research focuses on online platforms, the value of data, and globalization. Her areas of general interest are intangible capital, depreciation of intangible capital, innovation, and globalization. Her research has been presented at international institutions, including the European Union Intellectual Property Office, the International Monetary Fund, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. She is a member of the Advisory Group of the Value of Data project by the Bennett Institute and the Open Data Institute at the University of Cambridge. She is also the Conference Chair for the ASSA/SGE Sessions and Outreach Director of the Society of Government Economists in the U.S. She received a B.A. in Economics from National Taiwan University, a M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Economics from University of California, Los Angeles.
