Xavier Giroud

Roger F. Murray Associate Professor of Finance, Columbia Business School

Xavier Giroud is the Roger F. Murray Associate Professor of Finance at Columbia Business School. He is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He holds a PhD in finance from New York University, Stern School of Business. His research interests are in the area of corporate finance and corporate governance. His work has appeared in leading academic journals, including the American Economic Review, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies. He has received various research awards, including the George S. Eccles Research Award in Finance and Economics at Columbia Business School.
