Yue Ma

Professor and Head of Economics Department at Lingnan University, Hong Kong

Yue Ma is Professor and Head of Economics Department at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. Before joining Lingnan University in 1999, he worked at Strathclyde University in Glasgow and Stirling University, Scotland. He is also Visiting Research Fellow in Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research (HKIMR), Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

His research and policy work has focused on international banking and finance, corruption, and exchange rate systems. He has published in Journal of Financial Economics, Economic Journal, European Economics Review, Econometric Theory, and Journal of International Money and Finance. His policy work has focused on Mainland China and Hong Kong. He studied at Xiamen University in China, Renming University in Beijing, and Manchester University, UK.
