Zsuzsa Munkacsi

Zsuzsa Munkacsi is an applied macroeconomist who works for the International Monetary Fund. She obtained an MPhil in Economic Research from the University of Cambridge in 2011, and a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute in 2016. Prior to joining the Fund, she has worked for several policy institutions in Europe, including the former Office of the Fiscal Council of Hungary, the Bank of Lithuania and the European Central Bank (external advisor). Zsuzsa has a passion for macro-structural issues, such as labor market reforms, demographics, retirement and diversification - with a focus on their macroeconomic relevance. In addition to research and policy advice, she is fond of teaching, particularly in a policy context. Her goal is to merge quantitative methods with policy intuitions to make a substantial impact on decision making for the sake of resolving concrete real-world challenges.
