Gregor Schwerhoff

Economist at International Monetary Fund

Gregor Schwerhoff is an economist in the IMF Research Department. After receiving his PhD at the University of Bonn, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, specializing on climate economics. Before joining the IMF, he worked on integrating both mitigation policy and adaptation to climate damages into macroeconomic modeling at the World Bank. At the IMF he works on international cooperation in climate policy. His research interests further include the benefits of leadership in climate policy, and the taxation of economic rents.
