Muhammed A. Yildirim serves as the Director of Academic Research in the Harvard Growth Lab and is an Associate Professor of Economics at Koç University (on leave). He obtained his Ph.D. from Harvard University and BS degree from California Institute of Technology. Previously, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Center for International Development at Harvard University. His research is focused on understanding network and spillover effects in a multitude of research areas including industrial policy, international trade, productivity, economic growth, economic complexity and global value chains.
