Alvaro Remesal is an Assistant Professor of Finance at CUNEF in Madrid, Spain. He obtained his PhD in Economics from CEMFI.
His research interests cover the theoretical and empirical analysis of executive compensation and corporate governance. In particular, he studies the role of agency problems and their implications for accounting manipulation, managerial compensation and turnover, and corporate governance. He is also interested in understanding the interactions between corporate governance policies, new information and communication technologies, regulation, and financial markets.
