Drew Keeling is the author of numerous published articles concerning the history of migration and transportation across the North Atlantic. The Business of Transatlantic Migration between Europe and the United States, 1900-1914 (Zurich: Chronos, 2012) is his first book. Related website: http://www.business-of-migration.com/. In an earlier edition, as his PhD thesis, this monograph was awarded the Alexander Gerschenkron Prize of the Economic History Association.
He has a BA in Economics from Stanford University, an MBA from the Wharton School, and worked in banking and finance before completing his PhD in History at University of California, Berkeley. From 2006 to 2011, he taught courses in U.S. and transatlantic economic, business, political and environmental history in the History Department of the University of Zurich.
