Nicolas Carnot

Nicolas Carnot is Adviser on Fiscal Policy in the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs at the European Commission. He previously served in various positions in the French Treasury, including as Deputy Director for Employment and Social Policies, and at the International Monetary Fund. A French national, he is a graduate from the Ecole Polytechnique and holds an advanced degree in economics from the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique. He has co-authored Economic Forecasting and Policy (Palgrave Macmillan, 2nd ed. 2011) and La prévision économique (Economica, 2002).
