Tuomas Takalo

Research Advisor, Bank of Finland

Tuomas Takalo is a Research Advisor at the Bank of Finland. He is also a Senior Researcher at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, and an External Adviser at the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. Previously he has been a Professor of Economics at the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics and Director of the Finnish Doctoral Program in Economics. He has also acted as an Editor-in-Chief of the Finnish Economic Papers, and served as a Consultant to various public and private entities. His main research interests include innovation and the financial services sector. His works have been published in numerous academic books and journals, including American Economic Review, RAND Journal of Economics, and Review of Economics & Statistics.
