Adnan Mazarei is Deputy Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department (MCD) at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He has extensive policy experience in the Middle East and has worked on economic policy for a large number of countries in that region, as well as in emerging markets. Mr. Mazarei has also contributed to the research and debates on sovereign wealth funds, including Economics of Sovereign Wealth Funds, co-edited with Udaibir Das and Han van der Hoorn. He holds a Ph.D. from UCLA.
