Elena Prager

Associate Professor of Strategy, Kellogg School of Managemen at Northwestern University

Elena Prager is an applied microeconomist with research interests at the intersection of industrial organization and health economics. Her work uses empirical analyses of large, detailed datasets to answer policy-relevant questions about strategic behavior among health insurers and health care providers. In recent research, she has examined provider network formation and the effect of M&A activity on workers. Professor Prager received her PhD in applied economics with a concentration in health economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School in 2016. She also holds an MS from Wharton and an undergraduate degree from York University's Schulich School of Business. Her research has been funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and other agencies.
