Elisabetta Gentile

Economist at Asian Development Bank

Elisabetta Gentile is an economist in the Economic Research and Regional Cooperation department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Her policy-oriented research examines innovation, technology, and education, with an emphasis on the labor market. She has published in leading economic journals, edited a book on "Skill Mobility," and participated in international research conferences in Asia, America, and Europe. Before joining ADB, she was a lecturer in the Department of Economics at the National University of Singapore and was a financial analyst at the United Nations and the European Commission. She has a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from the University of Houston and an M.S. in Financial Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, as well as a Laurea (MA-equivalent) in Public Policy and International Organizations from the Università degli Studi di Siena (Italy).
