Deputy Head, Monetary Analysis Division at Bank Of Italy

Giuseppe Ferrero joined the Research Department of the Bank of Italy in 2002. He is Deputy Head of the Monetary Analysis Division and member of International task forces and working groups on issues related to monetary policy and financial stability. He received a Master and a PhD in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). His main fields of research in the last years include: the effect of non-conventional monetary policies; the collateral channel of monetary policy; the risks connected to a protracted period of low inflation; credit risk-taking and the slope of the yield curve; the effect of uncertainty and limited information on the conduct of monetary policy; the causes underlying the low interest rate environment and the implications for monetary policy and financial stability.
