Head of Work, Income and Inequality Analysis

James Browne is the Head of Work, Income and Inequality Analysis in the Renewing the Centre at the Tony Blair Institute. His research examines trends in household incomes and inequality in the UK, tax and welfare policy and the labour market. He has also examined fiscal policy in the UK and the design of a fiscal framework. James also provides analytical support to other areas of the UK policy team’s work.
