José-Antonio Monteiro

Economist, Economic Research and Statistics Division at World Trade Organization

José-Antonio Monteiro is an economist in the Economic Research and Statistics Division of the WTO since 2015. Between 2010 and 2014, he was an economic affair officer in the Trade and Environment Division of the WTO. Prior to joining the WTO, he worked at the International Labour Organization in the Trade and Labour Program on labour standards and regional trade agreements. He holds a PhD on trade and environmental policies from the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland and a Master in finance and economics from the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
