Joshua Hyman

Joshua Hyman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Amherst College. His research focuses on evaluating the effects of school finance reform and other education policy on reducing economic inequality in educational attainment. Hyman's work has been published in academic journals such as the Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, and Education Finance and Policy. His research has been funded by the U.S. Federal Government, and organizations such as the Spencer Foundation and Smith Richardson Foundation.Hyman earned his Ph.D. in Economics and Public Policy and his M.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan. He earned his B.A. in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University.
