Joshua L. Rosenbloom

Joshua L. Rosenbloom is Professor of Economics and Chair of the Department of Economics at Iowa State University, Ames, IA. He is also a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, Cambridge, MA. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University in 1988. Prior to moving to Iowa State University in 2015 he spent 27 years on the faculty at the University of Kansas. From 2006 through 2012 he was Associate Vice Chancellor for Research & Graduate Studies at the University of Kansas from 2006 through 2012, and served as interim Dean of Graduate Studies from July 2011 to January 2012. From August 2012 through August 2014 he was Program Director of the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Science of Science and Innovation Policy (SciSIP) program. His research interests include U.S. economic history, the economics of science and technology, and labour economics.
