Kara Reynolds

Associate Professor of Economics at American University

Kara M. Reynolds is an Associate Professor of Economics at American University in Washington, DC. Her research focuses on the intersection of politics and international trade policy, as well as the economic consequences of trade protection. She has published her research in leading academic journals such as the Journal of International Economics, the Canadian Journal of Economics, and Contemporary Economic Policy. Her current research agenda investigates the role of the World Trade Organization Dispute Settlement Body in international trade relations, as well as to what degree trade policy can be used to encourage firms to invest in research and development. Professor Reynolds earned her BA in International Studies from American University, and her MA and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia.
