Karen van der Wiel heads the financial markets program at CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis. She holds a PhD from Tilburg University and is an IZA fellow. Her research interests have shifted to the financial sector, corporate finance and government involvement in both quite recently. Before she mostly did research on government policy in the education and child care arena.
