Longfeng Ye

Longfeng received her doctorate in economics from the University of Western Australia. Her research interests cover a wide spectrum of economic issues especially in macroeconomics, including economic growth, development economics, international trade and issues in emerging economies, with a focus on China. For her PhD thesis Longfeng has investigated aspects of China's growth prospects, particularly pertaining to China's Hukou system and its impact on migration, growth and inequality, and the middle income trap. Longfeng is currently also very interested in unified growth theory, geography and growth. Her current post-doctoral research projects include papers on the dynamics of Malthusian growth and the impact of India's highway networks on district incomes.
