Manuel Rivas Rábago

Manuel Rivas Rábago leads the Market Analysis Team of the Chief Economist Unit at the Directorate General for Energy in the European Commission. He has worked on energy in various posts in the European Commission since 2004. Prior to joining the European Commission, he served as Macro Analyst at the Economic Research Department of Repsol-YPF, Macro Analyst at the Trade Commission of the Embassy of Spain in Washington DC and Market Analyst at the Regional Development Promotion Service, Directorate General for Economic, Conselleria d’Economia of the Comunitat Valenciana. He earned his Master of Economics from the European University Institute (EUI) and his Economics degree from Faculty of Economics of Valencia.
