Mark Henstridge

Mark Henstridge is Chief Economist at Oxford Policy Management. He is Programme Director for the DFID-funded research programmes on 'Economic Development and Institutions' (EDI), and 'Research Into Systems of Education' (RISE). He has previously worked as Acting Executive Director of the International Growth Centre, the Head of Macroeconomics at BP, an Economist at the IMF, and both Macro Policy Advisor in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in Uganda and as an Economist in the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Uganda. He holds a DPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and has mainly published on the macroeconomic management of natural resources in developing countries. He is a Research Associate of the Oxford Centre for the Analysis of Resource-Rich Economies at the University of Oxford.
