Massimo Costa

Professor of Accounting at University Of Palermo

Born in Palermo (1967) is Professor of Accounting at the University of Palermo. He holds a degree in “Social and Economic Disciplines”, magna cum laude from “L. Bocconi” University - Milan (1991), a Master's in Auditing from the “G. Carli” Business School - Rome (1994), and a Ph.D. in Business Economics [Economia aziendale] from the University of Pisa (1998). He has worked in the public and private sector, including at Enel (the largest electric power company in Italy) and at the Municipality of Palermo, in administrative functions as well as certified public accountant and auditor in major public owned companies. As an academician since 2002, he was qualified for full professor in “Business Economics and Accounting” in 2015. As a scholar he produced nearly 50 works: articles on national and international reviews, monographs, interventions to national and international congresses. His main fields of interests are: institutional studies on business disciplines, accounting history, corporate social reporting and, finally, accounting on money.
